"首先將投資銀行學的內容作一架構性的介紹，使同學們有一基礎概念和認識，以為嗣後工作上或更深入研究（投資學中的衍生性金融商品及其評價、財務工程及其風險管理、金融資產證券化、財務金融操作等）做好基本準備。至於與生活上息息相關理財活動，亦作一說明，主題有投資分析（含股票、債券、基金）和理財規劃（含居住規劃、教育金規劃、退休規劃、投資規劃、稅務規劃、保險規劃），使能將所學運用於實務上。
無論就投資銀行學內容或理財規劃，有一共同基礎訓練：總體經濟分析和產業分析，亦於各主題中導入此一概念和架構。
同時提醒同學們進行投資或理財規劃活動時，應有的正確態度和觀念：保守、穩健，切勿盲目、衝動、貪婪，且能兼具應有的道德觀念，如此才能使財務規劃運作於軌道上，奠定良好的經濟資源後盾。

This course introduces students to some fundamentals of “investment banking,” Issues discussed in our course are thus designed as to help students to advance their prospective banking toward such adventures as banking derivative financial products and their related evaluations, financial engineering, risk management, financial assets securitization , financial operations, and so on, and so forth. Life, in the course, will, in this way, be carefully calculated toward such key points as personal financial planning – investment analyses of stock, bond, and fund – and personal budget planning in housing, education, retirement, investment, taxing, and insurance.
In all such cases as aforesaid, macro-economic analysis and industry analysis are always there to conceive and frame the subject of “investment banking.”
Hence one point to mention for the students of “investment banking”: 1) while engaged in investment banking or related financial planning, always attend to conservativeness and stability, trying not to be blind or plunging or over-greedy; and 2) always stay yourself on track while banking your financial life – all so as to maintain for yourself a solid base of economic resources."
